i don’t know about you but i’m kind of seeing a trend here.
Bonus:
It’s ok Pip, you push the plot forward.
Let’s also not forget when Pippin placed his sword through the cave troll’s collar allowing Legolas to get the fatal shot.
NOT TO MENTION THE EPIC WIN HE MADE WHEN HE JUMPED INTO THE FIRE TO SAVE FARAMIR (which sadly i do not have the gif of)
If I may also point out: Pippin swore his service to Denethor, something he did not need to do — but he did it anyway because he felt it was the right thing to do — because Boromir was dead and Pippin felt that service was owed to Denethor to repay him for his son’s sacrifice:
“Little service, no doubt, will so great a lord of Men think to find in a hobbit… yet such as it is, I will offer it, in payment of my debt.” — RotK, “Minas Tirith”, p. 28.
And later, during the siege, when Denethor tries to send him from his service, Pippin refuses, saying:
“I will not say farewell, my lord… I will take your leave, sir, … for I want to see Gandalf very much indeed… But from my word and your service I do not wish to be released while you live. And if they come at last to the Citadel, I hope to be here and stand beside you and earn perhaps the arms you have given me.” — RotK, “The Siege of Gondor”, p. 99
Here is Peregrin Took, a hobbit of the Shire, with no connection to Gondor or its Steward save those he only recently forged for himself {beyond his friendship with Boromir}, deciding that he wants to fight and even potentially die at Denethor’s side — this is a Lord he has only very recently pledged himself to, yet he is willing to fight for him all the same.
If that is not noble and heroic, I don’t know what is.

“What were you thinking, Peregrin Took? What service could a Hobbit offer such a great lord of men?”
